To celebrate Mother’s Day 2011.
In my morning meditation I was guided to share
this work with you today. These paintings and words have
emerged since the end of the summer of 2010.
I invite you to celebrate the Divine Mother
who gave life to all of us and lives in all of us.
She is the Receiver of Life, the Container of Light, the Nourisher,
the Protector, the Follower, the Whispering Voice of Silence,
the Warm Heart, the Canvas, the Open Space, Power from Oneness,
Love in Action.
It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a village to be a mother.
And … it takes a village to be a child.
Lady Portia – acrylics
She brings Love, Grace and Empowerment for 2011
Fox woman + golden bird – acrylics
She is a business angel for heart-based entrepreneurs.
Infinite wisdom – gouache
The woman is an interpretation of an illustration by Patricia Polacco.
Proud Mary – gouache
Magical meeting – gouache
LaMaria – gouache
Madonna and child – watercolor on Yupo paper
Early work – I made this in 1985 (16 year old) – recently found
in a box with old cards and notebooks. Much to my surprise.
Portrait of my daughter, Carien, pencil
Today I also honor Katherine Skaggs. She has unveiled this channel to the Divine Mother
in my life and paintings. Her intuitive art process keeps opening the way.
In Gratitude to the Beloved Source of Oneness and Life.
Happy Mother’s Day!
